Field Overview
A heavy shale play, the Eagle Ford basin is located east of the Permian, stretching from Dallas to San Antonio. Primarily a gas field with smaller oil plays, it boasts proven reserves of 3.37 billion bbl of oil and 2.5 TCF of gas.

Basin Highlights
Lime Rock Resources Kicks Off 2022 with Back-to-back Acquisitions
The Eagle Ford Lime Rock Resources began operation in 2005 and since then has made 25 notable acquisitions, the latest of which includes assets from Abraxas in the Williston and from a private seller in the Eagle Ford. The recent Williston addition will add 3,500 acres to their portfolio and the Eagle Ford deal is for 46,000 acres producing about 7,700 boe/d as of early January. The total cost to Lime Rock Resources is $358.5 million, which is all part of their recent plan to purchase more producing oil and gas properties in the U.S.
Rising Phoenix Royalties Announces Eagle Ford Basin Oil and Natural Gas Royalty Acquisition
The acquisition company Rising Phoenix Royalties (RPR) recently added 121 acres of oil and gas producing land in the Eagle Ford basin from an undisclosed seller. Part of the acquisition process included a third party analysis of the assets to better provide all parties with transparent information on the deal. RPR engages in deals across all the major U.S. basins and in all sorts of oil and gas ratios, this most recent one in the Eagle Ford being a 90/10 oil and gas split.
