Field Overview
A heavy shale play, the Eagle Ford basin is located east of the Permian, stretching from Dallas to San Antonio. Primarily a gas field with smaller oil plays, it boasts proven reserves of 3.37 billion bbl of oil and 2.5 TCF of gas.

Basin Highlights
Howard Energy Partners Announces Expansion of South Texas Natural Gas Transportation System
Dos Caminos, a joint venture between Howard Energy Partners (HEP) and Eagle Ford Midstream LP (EFM), announced the expansion of its natural gas transportation system. The expansion will increase their capabilities to gather, treat and transport natural gas produced from the Austin Chalk and Eagle Ford shale plays. Once the expansion is complete the system will be able to perform at 2x its current capacity of 1 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d).
Freehold Royalties Ltd. enters into Agreements to Acquire U.S. Midland Basin and Eagle Ford Basin Assets for CAD$155 million
Freehold Royalties Ltd. has entered into an agreement with two private sellers for assets in both the Midland and Eagle Ford basins. The assets total $155 million canadian dollars, $123 million in Midland and $32 million in the Eagle Ford. The assets include mineral title and royalty assets and are expected to add approximately 1,100 boe/d in production volumes. The handoff is expected to take place mid March.
